How much does a composite deck cost per square foot?
Current installed planning bands are $25–$50/sq ft for pressure-treated wood, $43–$70/sq ft for Trex Enhance and $65–$90/sq ft for Trex Transcend. These are broad planning bands, not fixed quotes; railing, stairs, height and site conditions affect the final total.
How long does a Trex deck last?
Service life depends on the selected product, installation, exposure and care. A limited warranty has specific conditions and is not a prediction of service life. Check Trex's official terms for your product and purchase date.
Official material warranties
Select the manufacturer and the exact product line in your quote. Residential and commercial coverage, product performance, fade and stain protection, and replacement costs can differ. The manufacturer’s applicable written warranty governs material claims.

- Our 1-year labor warranty concerns our installation work; your project agreement sets the applicable terms.
- Manufacturer product coverage
- Coverage depends on the product, use and applicable document at purchase or installation. Keep your product records and warranty documents.
- Trex-paid labor coverage
- On Trex projects, Trex pays the labor to replace a defective Trex product when we install it and register the warranty for you. For Signature, Transcend, Select and Refuge products that is 5 years for Trex decking or railing alone, 10 years for both, and 12 years when all three are Trex, fasteners included; for Enhance products it is 2, 3 or 4 years. When decking and railing are both installed, the decking line sets the term. Railing must be Trex Signature, Signature X-Series, Transcend, Select or Enhance. This is Trex’s coverage for product defects, separate from our 1-year labor warranty on workmanship. Residential projects only.
